Winter in the Imst holiday region - A cool hit for everyone

What could be more fantastic than a skiing holiday in the Tyrolean Mountains? Answer: A skiing holiday in the Imst holiday region! Families in particular can have a wonderful time in a holiday destination that truly understands the needs of parents and children in the winter holidays.
The Imst holiday region comprises the picturesque little town of Imst and its surrounding. This charming region has become a hot tip for people looking for that very special winter holiday, and no wonder: here, holidaymakers can enjoy an extraordinarily family-friendly skiing mountain (Hoch-Imst) right on their doorstep and also choose from a superb range of tremendous winter sports resorts in the vicinity. Pitztal, Ötztal or the Arlberg is less than an hour’s drive away. The great thing about it all is you can live in a cosy little town up in the Tyrolean Oberland far away from the hustle and bustle, but you’re still slap bang in the middle of the premier European winter sports region!
Above all, families are sure to have a great time here: children, you see, are more than welcome guests in the Hoch-Imst skiing region. There’s a wide range of things on offer, starting off with a free child-minding service for children over 2 years of age. As a special treat, all youngsters from 3,5 up to the age of 6,9 are invited to take part in a 5 day skiing course with their own special ski pass.
Learning to make ski turns is double the fun, after all, the course leads through all sorts of bright and funny obstacles. There’s even a so-called “magic carpet”, a child-friendly conveyor belt that takes the tiny ski-tots up to the top and a separate children’s entrance at the lift. Another bright idea is the excellent deal available on the family pass. A great family holiday that won’t cost the earth – now isn’t that something to warm the heart? And one more good piece of news: queuing and waiting for lifts is virtually unheard of around here.
And for those whose curiosity extends beyond the Imst skiing region – bear in mind, it has one of the longest night skiing pist in the whole of the Tyrol.
